0引言
高校英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中,聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫(xiě)譯是語(yǔ)言的基本功,基本功的訓(xùn)練是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的首要任務(wù)。其中,寫(xiě)作是英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)技能課程中的必修課,“寫(xiě)”往往是英語(yǔ)技能中最薄弱最不易提升的環(huán)節(jié),是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的重點(diǎn)也是難點(diǎn)。筆者通過(guò)長(zhǎng)期英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)的實(shí)踐,總結(jié)摸索出一套行之有效的教學(xué)策略,而這些策略皆是在人文關(guān)懷的觀照下產(chǎn)生的,現(xiàn)進(jìn)行條分縷析,以供交流參考。
1注重培養(yǎng)寫(xiě)作興趣
興趣是增強(qiáng)記憶、決定學(xué)習(xí)效率和學(xué)習(xí)熱情的重要因素,對(duì)英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)而言,在興趣的導(dǎo)引下,學(xué)生將會(huì)把枯燥的寫(xiě)作課程轉(zhuǎn)化為愉悅的體驗(yàn)過(guò)程,并能夠積極主動(dòng)進(jìn)行課外學(xué)習(xí)和實(shí)踐,從而加強(qiáng)自身的思維能力和創(chuàng)新能力,寫(xiě)作水平自然也會(huì)顯著提高。
然而,我們目前看到的卻是大多數(shù)學(xué)生覺(jué)得寫(xiě)作課索然無(wú)味,沒(méi)什么興趣,這里面除了我國(guó)學(xué)生對(duì)非母語(yǔ)的語(yǔ)言敏感性不夠強(qiáng)以及自身沒(méi)有足夠的輸入等原因之外,筆者認(rèn)為我們的寫(xiě)作教學(xué)尚缺乏人文關(guān)懷,以致一定程度上沒(méi)有激發(fā)學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作興趣,或者說(shuō)學(xué)生原本有寫(xiě)作興趣,卻被打壓下去了。那么如何在寫(xiě)作中使學(xué)生感受到人文關(guān)懷,產(chǎn)生興趣呢?
1.1 鼓勵(lì)發(fā)言與討論每個(gè)學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作內(nèi)容和風(fēng)格是完全不同的。因此,教師不妨鼓勵(lì)他們踴躍發(fā)表自己的看法,思想和意見(jiàn),傾聽(tīng)他們的心聲,這無(wú)疑是人文關(guān)懷的體現(xiàn)。另外,在給學(xué)生展示范文時(shí),教師也應(yīng)獨(dú)具匠心,最好展示一好一壞兩篇文章,讓學(xué)生自己選出哪篇文章好,并說(shuō)出不好的那篇文章不好在哪里,要具體指出來(lái),不能泛泛而談。通過(guò)一段時(shí)間此項(xiàng)訓(xùn)練,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn),自己班級(jí)的學(xué)生語(yǔ)言敏感性增強(qiáng)了,語(yǔ)言鑒賞能力提高了,對(duì)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作的興趣也漸趨濃厚。
1.2 勿濫用表?yè)P(yáng)目前一些高校采取學(xué)生對(duì)教師評(píng)分的辦法,以促進(jìn)教師教學(xué),有的還將評(píng)分結(jié)果納入教師考核成績(jī),然而此法帶來(lái)的弊端是部分教師為迎合學(xué)生,對(duì)學(xué)生錯(cuò)誤之處言辭閃爍含糊,不予明確指出,對(duì)夠不上表?yè)P(yáng)的地方也會(huì)去表?yè)P(yáng),動(dòng)不動(dòng)學(xué)生就會(huì)得到“Good job!”,這種狀況是令人堪憂(yōu)的。教師真正意義上給予學(xué)生人文關(guān)懷,就應(yīng)當(dāng)恰如其分地表?yè)P(yáng)學(xué)生,學(xué)生尚處于成長(zhǎng)階段,人生觀世界觀還都有局限,錯(cuò)誤之處在所難免,對(duì)此要及時(shí)糾正,滿(mǎn)懷愛(ài)心地注視他們成長(zhǎng)的足跡,才是教師的職責(zé)所在。
2寫(xiě)作與閱讀并重
“讀書(shū)破萬(wàn)卷,下筆如有神?!笔欠胖暮6詼?zhǔn)的真理,英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作課如不要求學(xué)生大量閱讀,很難想象學(xué)生寫(xiě)作水平會(huì)得到提升。人文關(guān)懷下的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué),應(yīng)指導(dǎo)學(xué)生閱讀的內(nèi)容、范圍,并對(duì)閱讀心得進(jìn)行討論,或?qū)懗蓵?shū)面報(bào)告,總之,一定要求學(xué)生不間斷地、有規(guī)律地進(jìn)行閱讀活動(dòng)。
筆者曾要求學(xué)生定期閱讀美國(guó)《時(shí)代》周刊,瀏覽人民網(wǎng)、新華網(wǎng)等英文網(wǎng)站,了解時(shí)事動(dòng)態(tài),并且閱讀著名英美作家所寫(xiě)的詩(shī)歌,因?yàn)樵?shī)歌是語(yǔ)言的高度濃縮與提煉。學(xué)生堅(jiān)持兩學(xué)期之后,在英語(yǔ)遣詞造句方面進(jìn)步顯著,思辨能力也有所提高,對(duì)兩學(xué)期前自己所寫(xiě)的作文能提出中肯的修改意見(jiàn)。
3要求學(xué)生保存作文
學(xué)生每寫(xiě)一次作文,都是心血的付出,有的學(xué)生下筆前拿不準(zhǔn),要翻好多次字典,要尊重學(xué)生的勞動(dòng),同樣也是人文關(guān)懷的體現(xiàn)。熟悉英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)的人都知道,有些語(yǔ)病學(xué)生會(huì)不止一次地出現(xiàn),讓他們回顧自己寫(xiě)的文章,自己都會(huì)對(duì)里面簡(jiǎn)單的小錯(cuò)誤發(fā)出會(huì)心的微笑。教育部外語(yǔ)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)委員黃源深先生指出“學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言錯(cuò)誤不是靠教師一兩次批改就能改掉的,批改只是一種手段,一種對(duì)語(yǔ)言錯(cuò)誤的警示。對(duì)某一錯(cuò)誤的認(rèn)識(shí)和改正,需要通過(guò)交際語(yǔ)境,經(jīng)過(guò)多次反復(fù)才能完成。寫(xiě)作課教師千萬(wàn)不能把學(xué)生改正錯(cuò)誤的希望寄托在一次批改上?!彼?,要求學(xué)生保存作文,一方面可以讓他們覺(jué)察到自己的進(jìn)步,另一方面可以讓他們自己看到某一錯(cuò)誤他們犯了多少次,從而從意識(shí)上刻意避免這類(lèi)錯(cuò)誤。
4靈活運(yùn)用現(xiàn)代科技手段
對(duì)于外語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)來(lái)說(shuō),并非所有的語(yǔ)言輸入都能被學(xué)習(xí)者理解、吸收,僅有語(yǔ)言輸入是不夠的,學(xué)習(xí)者還需注意到輸入中未知的語(yǔ)言成分,并通過(guò)與他人的交流進(jìn)行意義協(xié)商,積極地建構(gòu)自己的語(yǔ)言系統(tǒng)。交流又有口頭交流和書(shū)面交流,除了課堂上的口頭交流,及使用多媒體課件令課堂豐富多彩外,教師可利用網(wǎng)絡(luò)等現(xiàn)代科技在課外與學(xué)生書(shū)面交流,教師可建立與學(xué)生的公共電子郵箱,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生可把日常生活的所見(jiàn)所想或?qū)ι鐣?huì)現(xiàn)象的思考用英文表達(dá)出來(lái),可長(zhǎng)可短,放在郵箱里,學(xué)生和教師都可以看,發(fā)表評(píng)論、留言,教師可在課堂上集中點(diǎn)評(píng)。構(gòu)建這樣一個(gè)協(xié)作學(xué)習(xí)的平臺(tái),主要目的是督促學(xué)生多練習(xí)寫(xiě)作,讓學(xué)生體會(huì)到人與人之間溝通交流的意義,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)問(wèn)題、解決問(wèn)題的能力。
5結(jié)束語(yǔ)
大學(xué)英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)任重道遠(yuǎn),本著人文關(guān)懷精神,真正關(guān)心學(xué)生,了解學(xué)生,為學(xué)生著想,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生寫(xiě)作興趣,從細(xì)節(jié)上關(guān)愛(ài)學(xué)生,尊重學(xué)生,令學(xué)生養(yǎng)成勤于閱讀的習(xí)慣,靈活運(yùn)用現(xiàn)代科技手段促進(jìn)教學(xué),注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生思維能力和創(chuàng)新能力,將會(huì)使寫(xiě)作教學(xué)有聲有色,令寫(xiě)作成為學(xué)生愉快而又難忘的人生體驗(yàn)。
