關鍵詞:新課程理念;高考;學生

一、設計背景

筆者連續(xù)兩屆參加安徽省高考英語的網上評閱工作,兩次的閱卷經歷及筆者十幾年的教學經驗,深深感到高中生英語書面表達語言方面的欠缺,而錯誤來源是多方面的。在眾多的影響因素里,受到漢語的負遷移,學生寫下很多Chinese Einglish的句子。

筆者在閱卷時關注了一下學生的錯誤點,其中,受母語負遷移的影響主要體現在下面兩句:(1)If I by bike/bus to school...(2)when they across the street...其實,將詞性萬能化是初、高中學生學習語言的通病。學生在用目標語輸出時,首先在腦海里用漢語構思,然后按照漢語的語言邏輯,用英語單詞堆砌,于是產生了上述錯誤的句子。

二、教學內容分析

筆者所在地區(qū)使用的是人教版高中英語教材,第一模塊第三單元以travel為主題,使學生通過travel了解文中王坤、王微所去國家或地區(qū)的風土人情,地理地貌及氣候特征。讓學生體會英語作為工具給他們帶來的樂趣。Warming-up讓學生想象去旅游并選擇一個地方為題,討論所需費用,并決定四種交通方式,使學生了解旅行前的準備及計劃。

三、教材整合

筆者對此部分教學內容進行了刪除與增加。刪去了warming up的第二部分內容,加入了一個寫作,整合一個課時。寫作的重點輸出句型為:go to someplace by bike 或ride a bike/take a bus....

四、教學過程

充足有效的語言輸入是培養(yǎng)扎實語言基本功的基礎,輸入的信息必須經過任務活動的加工處理才能夠固化成自己的能力,最終在需要的時候正確、準確地提取。這就要求教師在一定的時間內以完成具體的語言學習任務為目標來組織教學。同時,教師要和學生之間交流、合作、互動、探討。但輸入與輸出之間不是畫等號的。學生必須處理獲取的信息并有效吸收,才能有高質量的輸出。吸收是打造語言基本功的重要環(huán)節(jié),教師可以以新引舊,以復習促貯存。吸收后,學生才能在頭腦里建立自己的“語言庫”,并能招之即來,揮之即去。因此,語言的內化環(huán)節(jié)必不可少,并在教學活動中實現。

筆者首先利用第二單元的話題English around the world及兩個數字(它們分別是中國學英語的人數和北京一位高一學生從小學到初中學英語的花費)激發(fā)學生的頭腦風暴,提出問題Why should we learn English?學生你一言我一語,最后筆者點出本單元的話題――travel。

在presentation環(huán)節(jié)里,筆者設計了三個問題:Where?How?Which?

1.Where?大千世界,到處都是名川、秀水、古跡,那么老師應該去哪旅游呢?我先讓學生給我出主意。然后,利用圖片展示國內外的名勝。與此同時,我刻意引導學生描述這些地區(qū)的特色和景色,為后面寫的輸出作鋪墊。在眾多的旅游景點里,確定了一個目的地――the Big Ben in London。

2.How?要去旅游,選好地方后,接著就得考慮交通工具means of transportation的問題。于是,我設計了第二問:how?這是本節(jié)課的重點與難點之一,即復習舊知識go to someplace by bike 和 ride a bike.在進行這部分教學時,我不斷地重復這些短語,并在黑板上板書。因為不同的學生記憶能力是不一樣的,記憶能力強的學生可能會記住,而能力稍弱的學生可能就吃力了。同時,整節(jié)課的最終成果是寫作,所以語言一定要準確。

3.Which?面對繁多的交通工具,老師該如何抉擇呢?我提出第三個問題:which?即該怎么去London?并選出四個交通工具讓學生討論,分別說出它們的利與弊。最后,每組請一個reporter匯報討論結果,幫我做出決定。

輸出是檢驗,鞏固和增強語言基本功的主渠道。語言的輸入和輸出應該相對平衡,而我們面臨的問題是,外語學習者的語言輸出遠遠低于語言輸入。因此,應該在外語教學中為學生創(chuàng)造盡可能多的語言輸出環(huán)境。

筆者首先把所在地的五處旅游景點展現在PPT上,然后,設置一個情境:設想筆者的外教老師住在本縣的法姬娜酒店,他只有一天時間,不知道該看哪處名勝。讓學生分成五組進行討論,并用到:You can go there by bus和 take a bus等句型和短語。目前全國各省市高考對考生英語的要求之一就是寫作,然而口頭輸出。如果不能結合寫作,對學生寫作中語言的正確性難以起到監(jiān)控和糾正的作用。所以,筆者最后讓學生把口頭輸出的內容轉化成文字――寫一封信給筆者的老師Tim,建議他應該去哪兒看看,為什么,及路線。作文的內容其實就涵蓋了本節(jié)課筆者所有的輸入內容。

五、結論

筆者本次執(zhí)教的班級共57人,共有3位學生沒能正確地掌握go to someplace by bus 和take a bus結構。具體的語言錯誤歸納如下:

1.You can go there by a bike.

2.You can go there by a bus or cab.

3.Yon can by bike.

筆者后來找到這三位同學詢問,是不是粗心導致,回答全部否定。為了驗證本堂課的效果,筆者執(zhí)教的另一班級沒有進行如上的課堂教學,只是讓學生按照上述要求寫一封信。對照班總共45人,共有14位同學出現了by bike等介詞短語當動詞用的現象。
