Defense&Security Analysis is an academic journal dedicated to defense and international security issues. The editors of this journal are accustomed to reviewing in each editorial what has happened in the broadly defined fields of national defense and international security over the past three months. The content of the journal reflects the rapid changes in the global security situation, involving multiple aspects such as global epidemics, civil wars, military invasions, large-scale migration, and terrorism. For example, the content of 2015 covered the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, the Syrian civil war, the military invasion of Ukraine, large-scale migration from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe, and terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels.

The journal explores the reasons behind these security threats, such as the spread of religious radicalism and the prevalence of the internet and social networks. It also focuses on the actions and experiences taken by the state, government, military, and their security agencies in the face of these threats. In addition, the journal also explores the challenges of nuclear deterrence principles in the current international security environment, as well as the complex situation in the Middle East, particularly in Syria.
