Transformation-critical Perspectives On Southern Africa explores in depth the transformational challenges and opportunities of the Southern African region in the context of globalization, regional integration, and indigenous development dynamics. It is particularly concerned with understanding the profound changes that the region has undergone at the political, economic and social levels, and how these changes have affected the lives and rights of ordinary people.

The journal encourages scholars to critically analyze the realities of Southern Africa, such as poverty, inequality, social exclusion, gender issues, and environmental change, and to seek workable solutions. It provides a platform for publishing rigorous academic research, policy analysis and practice cases aimed at promoting a deeper understanding of complex social phenomena in Southern Africa.
