Fat Studies - An Interdisciplinary Journal of Body Weight and Society is the first journal dedicated to academic research in the field of weight and society. This journal critically examines theories, research, practices, and procedures related to weight, aiming to provide an interdisciplinary forum for scholars to explore obesity, weight management, dietary culture, health policies, and social justice issues related to weight. The content of the journal is not limited to academic research, but also includes analysis of public health, media performance, law, and educational practice
The magazine encourages submissions from different disciplinary backgrounds, including but not limited to sociology, psychology, medicine, nutrition, gender studies, and cultural studies.
