"PhotoniX," since its inception in 2020, has become an important academic journal in the field of optics and photonics. Jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Optical Engineering, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Westlake University, the journal is dedicated to publishing innovative scientific research and the latest advances in engineering applications brought about by the interdisciplinary integration of optical and photonic technologies with information science, energy, materials science, life sciences, precision manufacturing, nanotechnology, optoelectronic devices, and micro-nano electronics.

The core of the magazine lies in showcasing technologies that are cutting-edge, interdisciplinary, and derivative, aiming to become a platform for promoting the development of international cutting-edge "enabling technologies."
