In the past decade, the study of contemporary Spanish drama has experienced significant growth, reflecting the increasing emphasis on Spanish contemporary literature and culture in the academic community. With the extensive study of Spanish theatrical works in the second half of the 20th century, scholars' interest shifted from classical works to more modern and experimental theatrical works. This shift in interest has prompted the academic community to conduct more in-depth research on contemporary Spanish drama, in order to reveal its cultural significance and artistic value in the context of globalization.

In this process, the "Contemporary Spanish Theatre Premiere Notebook" not only needs to collect and organize relevant literature on contemporary Spanish theater, but also needs to provide easily accessible resources to support the research needs of scholars and students. The library has established a rich database of contemporary Spanish drama research by purchasing books, journals, and electronic resources, providing a solid foundation for academic research.
